You All Are in for a Treat!

Guess what?

We have a guest blogger today!

My daughter, Kate (13), has asked if she can write a blog entry today.
This is her first one, so bear with us.
I know she will do a great job!

And now, I introduce my daughter, Kate!
---------------------

Hi everyone, first I would like to say I love reading the comments you all leave and thank you for those who supported Lucy. She's fine now, but it gave us a scare!

Anyway, here is the real reason I am writing: as you may or may not know there are a lot of people who are living third world countries. Some people pretend they don't exist, but some people go out of their way to help them! In our cushioned world just buying tickets to the movies for a 4 person family  is about 35 $, well for 32 $ a month, which is less than the movie, you can change a life. In church I learned about a organization called Compassion. For 32$ a month you can sponsor a child and help them grow: Bible teaching, games, health and hygiene education, health screenings, social clubs, tuition and field trips.

My family is sponsoring 2 kids, the first one is "Chris's" kid, Steven, a young boy living in Ecuador. "My kid" is Aminata, a young girl from Burkina Faso. Also, you can write letters to them and they will be translated into their language. Lastly, you can organize trips to go see them!

So if you are interested go to compassion.com and sponser a child. For me personally it was, is, and will be a life-changing experience!

Hey Kate,
I am impressed that you took your first opportunity as a blogger to write about someone else and their needs. What a nice thing you are doing to help those kids. Come back and write again soon!

Hi Kate! I think it is fabulous that your family is sponsoring children from a third world country. There are many children in need and I am impressed that at your age you see how important it is to sacrifice for others. Good job!
