Sorry for my absence
the last few days.
I have been reveling in the quietness
of the house with all the little darlings
off to school.
Oh yes, it is that time of year
and while I love having them here,
I also love when school starts
and they are gone for a good part of the day.
I have organized my room,
ALL the laundry is done
and folded
and I just feel this sense of starting
to get back on track and on top of things again.
I always seem to reach a point in the summer
where I am barely keeping my nose above water!

Kate is in seventh grade,
Chris is in fourth grade
and Trey started Kindergarten this year.

It must be a teary time when the children shove off to school, and you realize they're a year closer to being gone for good. Then again, you may just be happy to have some free time again. Watch the afternoon daiquiris!
Wow, Katie has gotten very tall. She's all legs. Chris looks about the same, yet his hair has gotten darker. Trey looks about the same.
I've got some catching up to do with your posts. I will read them, and you'll hear from me more.

Okay, so how long did it take Kate to pick the first day of school outfit? It's very cute.
They are all darling - inside and out.
Sam and I were talking about one of your posts on our trip because it seems we too have a frat boy. Owen (the middle one) is trying to pledge and has been practicing his burps in preparation. Crazy kids!
