Banana Cake

This is a recipe from my friend Debbie Milam.

My SIL Beth requested it
and I thought
(generously, I might add!)
that I would share it with the masses
(so they can have fat asses)

LOL
Sorry, I'm feeling very silly tonight.

Anyway,
the recipe for
BANANA CAKE

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Crisco (I know, just get over it)
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups scant flour
1 egg, beaten
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
3 ripe bananas, mashed
4 T buttermilk (or milk)

Cream first three ingredients together.
Add beaten egg.
Combine flour, salt and soda together.
Add this, alternating, starting and ending with the flour.
Add mashed banana and vanilla.

Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.

Now, make topping:
1/4 stick melted butter
1 cup brown sugar.

Blend these together and drop over top of cake in little globs.
(Doesn't that sound lovely? Don't worry, it melts.)

Bake at 325* for about 40 minutes. Check for doneness.

This is a yummy recipe but VERY sweet.
Rob's brother Mike loves it but eats it hot
and then gets a stomach ache.

He's a little slow
but he's not retarded.
We'd love him anyway.

Enjoy!
