St Patty's Day Cake Pops

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Trey enjoyed playing the role of the Leprechaun today.
He messed up our rooms

and made a K'nex trail down the hall and stairs

to a little sign on the door.

For my part,
I served green milk at breakfast
and Chris and Trey helped me decorate cake pops
to take to Kate's school during Hell Week for her play.

This was our first try with cake pops and the kids really liked them.

They were not hard to make although it was time consuming
to go through each step.

Next time I make them, I will make the cake the day before
and then freeze the cake balls overnight
before coating them.

The boys had a lot of fun decorating them

and it is easy to imagine all the ways these could be incorporated
into different holiday colors and themes.
I have some frozen so I can pop them into lunch boxes tomorrow!

The cake pops look good. I've heard they are not as easy to make. As for green milk...that just makes my stomach hurt. Did the kids drink it?
