Nothing in the World

Nothing in the world
is as a good as a seven year old boy
who still has a bit of an Oedipus complex.

I wish I could just bottle up the adoration.

I would pull it out when he's a teen,
dab it on my wrists
and behind my ears
and breathe deeply

so I could remember what it felt like
when he was young and thought his mommy was perfect.

Wow, that is sweet! What did Trey do that inspired you to write this?

Nothing in particular, he is just in a "mommy love phase" where I give the best hugs, the best cuddles, the best tuck-ins.

I am the receiver of hugs and kisses and deep, breathy "I love yous"..

I am a lucky mommy!

Those big blue eyes could make any girl feel charmed.. it's a good thing he's only using them on you.

That is so sweet. I'd like to bottle it up too so I can remember especially when those days come when we're at each other. What a cutie!
