of my descent into middle-aged-ness.
Is that even a word?!
After returning from Costco,
I carried the items into the house.
On my last trip,
I was carrying an 8 pound box of whole wheat pasta
and a four pack of fruit gels.
I leaned over to put them on the floor of the pantry
and
PING!
My lower back just twanged.
Or pinged.
Whatever it did, I gave a gasp
followed by a string of little "heh, heh, heh" whimpers.
I tried standing upright..OW! ow ow ow!
Hunched over, I hobbled around the kitchen,
alternately moaning and whimpering.
That was a few hours ago.
I finally gave in and took a couple of ibuprofen
to take the edge off the discomfort.
Pain is radiating across my lower back and down my leg
and I have a meeting to go to tonight with Kate
for her high school orientation.
Dear Lord, today forty seems OLD!

Please continue to lift Gwen up in your prayers.
Flickers of improvement were seen last night
and no news has come in yet today.
I will keep you posted on this little fighter.

I think it's the weather, too. When it's cold, everything seems to move with a little more difficulty!
Aw! Sorry to hear about how your old age is catching up to you. Sad, so so sad. But I also have to say Trey looks so cute in that picture I could just eat him up! OK, that sounded really weird. But he is adorable and just looks so young there.
Just wait until you crest over the other side of 40!
What?!?!?! You are just now starting to get those aches and pains? I've been getting them for the last 5 years at least!
Hope you feel better soon!
