How to NOT soothe a baby

This is what you WOULDN'T DO
if you had a new baby
and he was all sweet and cute and cuddly.

You would NOT suggest to your sister-in-law
and brother that you drag the new baby swing in the kitchen.

You would NOT suggest to them that we put the newborn in the swing.

You would NOT assume that all swings are equal
and that none of you actually *need* to read the instruction manual.

You would NOT turn the swing to setting one,
decide it is too slow,
and flip the swing switch to setting two.

No, you would NOT do those things,
because that would be stupid.

Note: Please know that no nephews were harmed in the writing of this post.   :-)

LOL - I'm taking your word that no nephews were harmed. Just that the photos don't quite look it...must be special effects or photoshop, right?

This is tragically hilarious.

I can't get over how much Richard is the spitting image of your father in this photo!

Thanks for making my night! Those photos of Nathaniel were indeed priceless!! I'm still laughing at the thought of Nathaniel zooming back and forth and probably scared to death...First time parents...we have all been there and can enjoy the "fun" things now.
Keep up the great posts and photos.

He is too adorable! And that is such a fancy swing. Man, equipment has evolved in 4 years.
