Enjoying the Dining Room

Even though Thanksgiving is several days past,
we had dinner with the kids out in the dining room tonight.

We lit candles,
used the fine china
and dimmed the lights.

We ate FANTASTIC crock pot ribs
and some corn,
told stories and enjoyed each other's company.

Something about a new venue
and candlelight
brought about extra-good manners
and appreciative comments about the dinner.

It was fun!

Might have to give that a try. Table manners are going downhill here.

Love your holiday look on your blog!

We like to use candles, too. The kids like to argue about who is going to blow them out even though we have a snuffer. And it's fun to play with the wax that drips down! We are easily amused!
