Another Monday, another Menu Plan!

It's another Monday and another week to plan.

I really do need to get out of this rut that I am in.
I feel like we eat the same ten meals or so.
I know that I get sick to death of it.
I'm not sure if the fam feels that way or not;
I'll have to ask them about it tonight at dinner.

I made a decision to make my life and the life of my family better.
I decided that I will not work on Mondays.
Mondays will be my laundry day (I've already done three loads today!),
menu planning day and grocery shopping day.
That way, no matter how busy things get as the week goes on,
the basics are covered and I won't have to carry that stress
and take it out on the ones I love the most.

They deserve the best of me.

Our menu plan for the week, with some carry overs from last week:

Spaghetti with homemade sauce, garlic-parmesan Italian bread
Pulled pork sandwiches with oven steak fries and jello with fruit
Artichoke pasta and fresh fruit salad
Teriyaki chicken thighs, rice, mixed vegetables
Whole grain breaded tilapia, buttered corn, biscuits
Pork fried rice with vegetables

Breakfasts:

Stovetop oatmeal
Cream of Wheat
French Toast
Cereal and bacon or sausage
Scrambled eggs and cheese

Leeann, I think that's a very wise decision on your part. I know I feel so overwhelmed when I don't get those basics covered. You are such a smart chick!

Menu sounds great!

Planning seems to be the key for me too. I'm not working anymore but I don't want the housework to fill all of my time. We have been in a menu rut too and I'm not sure what to do with it.
