In other news:

Chris's team,
the Padres,
has been marching through
the Playoffs.

It is really exciting!

These boys are peaking at just the right time
and yesterday,
in stifling, super humid
temperatures of over 100 degrees,
they beat the number one team.

It was so damn exciting.

Now they are the only undefeated team.

They'll play a team this week
and if they win,
they win the Championship.

If they lose,
then they have to play that team again.
If they win,
they win the Championship.
If they lose, they take Second place.

I was so proud of those kiddos
and how they held up in the heat,
stayed focused and gave it their all.

These boys play with a tremendous amount of heart
and really support each other.

GO PADRES!!
-----------------

With the extreme heat continuing today (Sunday)
we had our pool open to any Padres family that wanted to join us
at 2 pm today.
Several families joined us and we had a nice time
hanging by the pool, eating snacks,
drinking copious amounts of lemonade
and chatting.

We love to have folks over in the summer.
It is just so laid back and fun.

We'll have the official team party at our pool next weekend.
Then my SIL's will be coming over on Sunday with their kids
to swim and have dinner.
The following weekend Kate will be having her 13th
birthday party Luau.

Fun, fun!
---------------

School comes to a close this week.
Chris has his 4th grade picnic tomorrow.
I watch Baby Michael Monday and Tuesday
and then my time with him is over. :-(
Trey has his moving-up ceremony from Kindergarten
on Tuesday and his class picnic on Wednesday.
Then a couple of more half days and they are out on Friday.

I can hardly wait for the lazy days to kick in.
I need some down time!
----------------

Have a great Monday!

Hmph! There are those darn Swedish meatballs again - just sitting there on your menu plant taunting me.

Kate's party sounds like tons of fun! A luau, huh? How cool! I bet she will love it.

Go Chris! Go Padres! :)

I'll post what you're looking for once things settle down from the move. You're welcome to email me with a guess though, and I'll confirm or deny.

It has certainly been hot today! My children also get out school this week, then the fun begins!

How lucky you are to have that pool...I think I could handle pretty much anything that life handed me if I knew I had that in my back yard to just hang around or in. Somehow...the paddling pool the boys have doesn't. quite. achieve. the same effect!!!
Living vicariously through you for a bit....debbie.
