I just did something that was really fun.
It was a neat web site that asks you a bunch of questions
in a number of different categories
and then, from your answers,
chooses the best places for you to live.
I think the results for me were actually quite accurate.
Most of my top ten places were in either Tennessee or North Carolina.
Here's a little blurb:
I just visited FindYourSpot.com and thought you would like to know about it.
It's a website for people who want to find a place to live that really fits them.
It's really pretty interesting. You just fill out a quiz about what you like, and you instantly get a tailored list of great places that fit your unique interests and lifestyle.
It's interesting and fun. Just go to http://www.findyourspot.com to check it out.
If you go and take the quiz, let me know your results!

Well that was weird... #4 on my list was Olympia, WA #3 was Seattle. 1 and 2 were in Oregon and I wouldn't choose to live there because of the politics of the state and that's not something the quiz could quantify.. So I guess I'm living pretty darn close to my best spot! There was not a single CA city on my list. Other cities were Providence, RI, Baltimore, and Knoxville, TN.
What a hoot! Apparently we made the right move--among cities in Idaho, Utah, Montana and Wyoming, our own Vail Valley and Glenwood Springs were high on the list. I feel very vindicated. . .to who, I don't know though! The #1 for me was Telluride, Colorado. I don't see us heading that way, though. Average single family home price? $2.6 mill!
Interesting! Austin was way down on my list -- most of the top spots occupied by places in TN, KY and the Carolinas. :)
I had cities all over, but I found a lot of them where in Texas, which was a surprise. One of them is a city I've wanted to visit, but never have, Charleston, S.C. Guess I should plan that trip!
I got New York, New Hampshire, and michigan. Funny since I live in Louisiana.
I am going to check it out. Reading the comment above, I can't beleive they have MI - who would choose to live here? It is 40 degrees and there is ice and frost everywhere this morning. Spring? Hello!
