A Few Christmas Pictures, ridiculously late

"When are you gonna update your damn blog?"
the gruff voice of my father growled over the line this morning.

It was just the impetus I needed to get this long overdue post going.

I have been in blog avoidance of late,
the reasons for which I have no idea.

I'll think to myself,
I really should upload my blog
and then I don't.

And then, after a while,
it becomes this THING
that I should have done but haven't
and then I feel guilty and avoid it even MORE.
Writer's block sets in and then
Lo, here we are.

Great start to the New Year, eh?

No matter, it's my blog and I'm taking it back,
freaky issues and all!
------------

Christmas was great.
My mom was missed but my dad and stepmom were here from Austin
as well as my brother, sister-in-law and nephew from New England.

It was fun to have them all here to celebrate with us.
And celebrate we did- from Jesus' birthday to my Dad's birthday to Trey's birthday,
it was a week-long party!

Waiting on the stairs for the green light to come running down. My favorite Christmas morning Child Torture.

Fossil Fighters! Whoo hoo!

Nathaniel reaches for a Nerd Rope. I wonder who actually got to eat it?

Grampie and Grammie laughing over a candy-pooping stocking stuffer.

Chris is old enough to find the humor in Santa bringing him boxers in his stocking for Christmas.

My sweet hubby gave baby Nathaniel lots of love!

Nathaniel started getting into the paper ripping.. the best part of a baby's Christmas!

Chris looking over the annual calendar with Grampie and Grammie.

Trey helps Grampie with the gorgeous new scarf that Kate hand-knit.

The kids showing off the surprise big gift of the season: a new grill for their Daddy!
We had the Hardware store hold it for us until the big snowfall melted and we could get to the backyard and the deck!

Enough festivities for now!

There you go, Dad.

Fun! I love all the excited and happy faces. I can't believe how big your nephew is already. Yeah for Kate and knitting - did you teach her?

Hey - how are you? As you know, I am not any better at the blog thing. You know I think if it was a quicker process (the photos anyway) I would be a bit more motivated. Anyway, I love all of the photos. I must admit, I am just a bit jealous when I see that someone got a redhead. Two of mine have the personalities, but none have the hair. How is that fair? I hope your new year is off to a good start.

PS (to Kate) Awesome job on the scarf - that is a real treasure!
