The County Fair

Just like many families,
we try to create certain traditions.
Some revolve around the holidays,
like going to see the Hospital's Christmas Light show every Christmas Eve,
and reading Santa Mouse with hot cocoa,
but others are just seasonal treats.

One of those is our County Fair.

We have gone every year since Kate was two,
with the exception of one missed year.

One year it was well over 100 degrees and humid,
and little toddler Kate's face was as red as a tomato.

This year, we went and all our children were old enough to do any ride they wanted.
We got them ride bracelets and they had a blast.
The boys particularly look forward to "ride" every year
called the Tiki Town.

It is kind of like a cheap Fun House.
It is one of those things that they love now
but will see again one day when they are grown and say
"Is this all it was? It seemed so much Bigger than this!"
But for now, they run to it and through it again and again.

They did fun rides

and high rides

and sudden drop rides.

Lots of fun was had at the Fair!
