Sympathy and Prayer

Today, September 12, 2008,

our world lost an amazing man.

David Holder lost his 14 month battle with Lymphoma today.

If you didn't know Dave,

I wish you had.

He was kind, and warm, and funny.

He had these awesome brown puppy dog eyes

that crinkled when he smiled,

which was very often.

He was my brother in law Mike's business partner and best friend.

Dave fought this battle with a courage like I have never seen.

Even when taking chemo and in times of severe pain,

he thanked each person for their prayers and hope.

He made sure every person who cared for him

knew how much he loved them.

His wife, Liza, was so loved by him.

Her strength and love for him were remarkable.

I fall so very short, every day.

If you would like to leave a note of sympathy,

you can go to David's blog.

Even if you choose not to, please lift his wife, children and family

up in your prayers.

And God, give him a hug from me, would you?

((Leeann)), so sorry for the loss of your friend. They look like such a loving and happy family. I'll say a prayer for them. Do they live near you?

Leeann, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. What a gift that you had the opportunity to know someone like Dave who is an example of how to live. What a beautiful family he has. I will say a prayer for them.

I don't even know what to say. One day will we not have to write posts like this? So tragic.

Leeann,

Just stopped by to say "hi" and found this post. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Tragic is right. Life sure sucks sometimes doesn't it?
