Is it Sunday or Monday?

Menu Plan Monday:

In an order that I will figure out tomorrow,
here is my plan!

Meatball subs, tater tots, fruit
Yogurt dipped chicken thighs, mashed potatoes, corn
Filet mignon (from freezer, probably a weekend meal!), twice baked potatoes, broccoli
Pasta dish (something alfredo), garlic bread
Apple Dutch Baby pancake and Ham slices
Crock pot roasted chicken, rice, gravy and green beans.

I am so tired.

I am sitting here holding my eyes open
and blearily staring out the window
in  hopes of seeing headlights coming up my driveway.

You see, I flew home a day early for Holder's service tomorrow.
So, I came in tonight and went to baggage claim to get my bag.
And I waited for it. And waited for it.
And {say it with me, now}  waited. for. it.

Finally, when the belt stopped and I was all alone,
it dawned on me that my bag wasn't forthcoming.

Yeah. I'm quick like that.

So, I trudged tiredly over the AirTran
and filled out a lost bag report.

Tonight at 11:30, Airtran called.
YES! They have my bag.
They would be bringing it tonight, in a four hour window.

Um, What?
It's 11:30 PM, people.
You can't bring it in a four hour window!

"Well," the kind lady told me, "we can bring it tomorrow between 9 and 12."

But, I need my Paaaaaaa-nnnntts for the funeral tomorrow...
(hear me whine...)

So, I got them down to a two hour window
(which they have now officially missed)
and all of this is why
I am sitting here, blearily, at 1:42 AM
waiting for headlights

LOL! I love the "I'm quick like that" line! You are too funny.

Hopefully by now you are sound asleep, pants in hand. Or at least in your house. Still praying for the family.

Sorry about that Leeann. It always sucks when your luggage doesn't make it to your destination with you. That happened to me in Germany. And I was really freaked thinking now I was going to have to go shopping. Wait. It wasn't THAT bad. lol Anyway, hopefully by now you hsve you bag. I think I would have just told them to leave it on the porch.

Sigh..

Hang in there today. I am thinking about you and praying for your friends. My heart goes out to them.

How are your kids holding up?

American did the same thing to me on my way back from India. Both pieces of my luggage made it to Chicago with me and then (based on some arcane airline wisdom unknown to me) one bag came with me to Austin on Flight #1 and my other bag was sent on Flight #2. Since I have not yet been cloned, I'm not sure how they expected me to retrieve by bag from Flight #2 when I was on Flight #1.

At the "lost baggage" office I told them that I had been in the air for 15 hours, had been in 3 different countries, had been in 4 different airports and on 3 different planes -- I was going home and to bed and they could deliver my suitcase to my door whenever they saw fit. :D

Hope you got your bag and some sleep last night!

Been thinking of you, Rob, his brother and SIL, and of the Holder family all day long!

Let us know how things are going when you get a chance....I'm sure you are EXHAUSTED!

Much Love,
Shelli
