to my family, friends and Internet buddies!
I got to be a quick thinker this morning
and pull a Valentine's Day surprise for the kids
out of my butt in five minutes. lol
Rob is the Head Honcho Valentine Man around these parts
and no one else is allowed to participate.
BUT, this morning he had to catch an early flight to Orlando
for a meeting and lo and behold,
forgot to set out his Valentine Day booty.
PLUS, he took the car to the airport that contains the Valentine Day booty!
AND he won't be back until nearly 11, obviously too late to give it to the kids tonight.
So, I came down this morning to get the kids off to school
and quickly realized what had transpired.
So, SHAZAM!! I put my mothering creativity to the test
and ten minutes later the kids came down to
pink milk and strawberries drizzled in melted chocolate chips.
:-)
They thought that was pretty darn cool!
Tonight for dinner, in addition to the chicken in a crock pot
and loaded red potatoes we are having for dinner,
I am going to make the Pioneer Woman Chocolate pie for dessert.
Sounds like a pretty good Valentine's day to me,
given that it was pulled out of my butt!!

I was going to do that chocolate pie but while in the grocery store today decided at the last minute to just do choc dipped strawberries instead. SO we are having shrim/clam pesto with bruscetta and choc dipped strawberries. I was going to get strawberry syrup and they were out of it! Can you believe that? Crazy!
Wow, you are so creative!!! I made an absolutely terrible heart shaped meatloaf and store bought cupcakes.
