My good friend Gina
roped me into the NaBloPoMo challenge,
which is to post every day in November
to commemorate November being National Blog Month.
So here I am,
in the business center
of God's Armpit, er, I mean Houston, TX
posting for today. :-)
I am here in the Armpit for my 20th High School Reunion.
My best friend Melanie (who drove up from Richmond to meet me)
and I flew in this afternoon.
I was proud of Melanie.
She has a flying phobia, brought on by
a sudden and unexpected freefall on a flight years ago.
She did GREAT!!!
I have no idea what the five Valium did to help her out
but they sure did work! :-)
Being with Melanie also made me realize
how generally friendly she is,
how unfriendly *I* am.
She will strike up a conversation with any one,
any time, any where.
Waiting for a flight? Let's chat!
Sitting behind me on the plane? Here, let me show you a picture of my children!
I kid you not.
I, on the other hand, tend to be part of the
"Oh My God, will that woman PLEASE stop talking to me" camp.
So, tonight we go and meet up with classmates we haven't seen in 20 years.
I'll let you know how it is going...
Traditions and belt buckles.
